Is this a good setup for my 55 gallon tank?
5-Congo Tetra
1-Red-Tailed Black "Shark"
2-Gardneri Clown Killifish
1-Hummingbird Tetra
3-Red-Line "Shark"
1-Peppered Corydora Catfish
The tank will have plenty of hiding places made out of slate. And the bottom will be cover with black sand. For plants There will be java fern tied to pieces of driftwood. And Twisted Valisneria or Swords. It will also be using a Eheim Classic 2213-37 series canister filter.
Barbs should all be kept in groups of 5 or more, so you should increase the number for red-line shark [Denison Barb is another name for these]. But at the price I see Denisons selling for, that will be a pricy school and will run over $100 just for them.
The cory should also be a part of a group of 4 or more.
Hummingbird tetras are a cool looking little fish. The pet store I usually get my fish from just got some in. Unlike other tetras, these are a little more territorial, so I've heard to either keep them singly or in a group of 8 or more. In this link, they're called Peru walking tetras, which is another name for hummingbird tetras. http://www.fishinthe.net/html/fishguide/fishguide_fish.php?FC=209&nl=&nt=1 This is what they look like for people who haven't seen them yet. http://www.animalworld.com.br/peixes/aquarios/caracideos/Characidium_fasciatum__04.jpg
Because the hummingbird tetra is a bottom fish, along with the cory, they might have problems with your red-tailed shark, which is another bottom fish which gets larger and territorial.
I would be a little concerned about the killis because of their smaller size. And they're good jumpers, so have a covered tank and lots of plants for cover.
