I have an iTouch dillema!?
Please bear with me because I'm not very up to date in the iPod arena =) So I'd like to get an iTouch for Christmas. I know the 3rd Generation is coming out this month, my friend said they were getting rid of the 8gb, and another friend said they were getting rid of the 16gb. I can only get one that $300 or less, and I know that the 16gb 2nd G was 300, while the 8gb was 200. I would preferably have a 3rd G 16gb (if they're even making them) but if not, what could I get for $300. Is the 32gb 3rd G going to be $300 dollars now? Im really not sure what to get. Thanks for all your help! PS- is it worth it if this is my only Christmas gift? Thanks!

The iPod Touch got a Refresh/Updated Yesterday on 09-09-09. Technically its a 3rd Generation but its almost identical to the 2nd Generation. Its faster,better graphic,price drop, and now comes in a 64GB Model. Everything else is the same as the 2nd Generation. In my opinion if you have the 2nd Generation don't bother with the 3rd Generation its no improvement as far as a Camera, Mic, etc. They had a Manufacture defect when they attempted to add the Camera so they aborted the production. They Cancelled the 16 GB for now at least. For $299.00 You can purchase a 32 GB iPod Touch. So that would be your best bet plenty of storage and at your price range. Click the link below for all the info about the iPod Touch.

Now for the part of the question if its worth it? Yes, The iPod Touch does so many things its like having a Music Player, Internet, Video/Photo Player and a Gaming device. Its actually a good device since its all in one. I have a 32GB 2nd Generation Model which is actually almost the same thing as the new one and its great.
EDIT: No they are the same width as the older generations. In every shape and form its identical. Just the internals are different.
