i wants networking between two computers through ethernet cards. using winme & winxp respectively. plz help me
i have two ethernet cards. i wants to joint two computers each other for shairing printer LQ=2180. i am using winme in one computer, and winxp in other. please help me and explian all the procedure i.e. sof & hardware. thanks

Adding to what the first 2 answers told u... if there are just 2 computers, you can buy a cross-over RJ45 Ethernet cable, and connect the cable directly to the ethernet cards in each computer. Then setup the IP address as per the 1st answer.
Sharing printer can be done after connecting the printer to one computer, test the printing, and then share it.
You may want to consider a router if you also want to share internet between 2 computers (so 1 internet connection for 2 computers).
