How do I know if my sunglasses are polarized?
I have a pair of Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ sunglasses and I threw away the packaging a while ago so I can't refer to that, so is there a way to tell if they're polarized? What are the characteristics of polarized lenses? How do they look in comparison with normal lenses? I think my lenses are "jet black", if that helps.
Flak jacket polarized lenses will have "polarized" etched in the lens.

The easiest way to tell if they're polarized is hold them up to a computer screen or a laptop screen, with the front of the lens facing the screen. Rotate the lenses around, keep the lenses facing the screen. As you rotate the glasses around, you will find that the lenses will go black as the polarization filter kicks in and filters out the light.
