I have a big crack and hole on the ceiling caused by the stainless shower caddy pole after I installed it a couple of weeks ago. how to repair if I still want to use this pole? Thanks.
I forgot to mention, this is a new house. We just moved in about 1 month. My friend just told me I should talk to the builder to fix it because it is standard to have enough support for this pole on shower ceiling. Is this true?

go to your local bldg supply dealer tell them the area to repair is in shower they will recommend a patching compound for damp/exterior use . also get some mesh patching cloth to reinforce the area. when you reinstall the caddy get a piece of plastic sheet 1/4" thick x maybe 6" square and place between ceiling and caddy this will displace the pressure point and not break thru the sheetrock
