Do you feel cats are discriminated against?
I just got back from pet supply shopping and I'm just fuming. The store had 4 aisles of dog food, two aisles of dog toys, and 1 wall of cat food, cat toys, and cat litter. There was no selection. We don't have a Petsmart so Tractor Supply is where I go for my supplies. I see this just about everywhere though. Does anybody else have this problem? I also have a dog so I'm not prejudiced, I just can't hook up my cats the way I can my dog.
Yes, I do, but it has been gradually improving.
The sample at Tractor Supply is probably more geared toward dogs than cats because it's marketed toward a rural customer base. Generally (certainly not always), dogs tend to get more attention than cats in rural areas, while in cities, where space is more at a premium and more people keep cats as indoor pets, cats are getting a better share of attention than they used to.
I moved to a large city about 18 years ago, and over that time have seen the cat section of pet stores expand from a tiny few shelves to an area that's much larger (though still not yet equal to the area devoted to dogs). Petsmart and Petco have much better selections of cat items, and there are online stores devoted purely to cat stuff, so it may be worthwhile for you to go to the city or shop online for your cat.
BTW, the same applies to vet care - more people tend to do more for their dogs than for cats, but things are improving, thankfully!

how do i connect my laptop to desktop computer's monitor?
i have dell inspiron 1520 and it's screen is broken. i decided to buy a new laptop instead of fixing this one so i need to connect it to another monitor in order to get my files on a harddisk.
i know i can use VGA or S-video cables to connect it to a TV but i don't want to buy one. Can i connect the laptop to my desktop monitor using the same cable that my desktop screen is connected to it's computer case?

Microphone/webcam conflicts?
I have a webcam for Skype, and just recently purchased a gaming headset for Ventrilo. However, I tried to configure the microphone on the headset to use with Ventrilo, however I could never get that to work properly - no sound coming out of the microphone.
Today when I used Skype I got an error saying that the soundcard was messed up so I coulnd't use the built-in microphone with the webcam... I was wondering where the conflict would stem from and how to get both to work... I just re-installed the software for the webcam and Skype works fine, but Ventrilo is still not working right.

3D program to CAD/CnC cutter machine?
Wondering if anyone knows/has done like...
Making an object in blender or Modo or something, and transferred then cut it out of wood or whatever on a CnC machine?

But I was wondering if there was any way to put a well drawn object in cad/cam software and pick the machining lines, rather than make it from scratch?
(any cgi thing could become a wood carving, and then I'm a moulding/casting guy, so I could make a prop/mask out of Any face)
You need a CAD/CAM application (Computer Aided Manufacturing) but I don't think you can get a good one for free. There is a Linux project called EMC, but it is mainly DNC/backplotting not really toolpath generation http://www.linuxcnc.org/
Basically you need to define tool type, path & strategy for cutting the CAD shape. Then you need to "post process" those procedures into G-CODE specifc to your machine controller. Every controller has features that make their G-CODE unique. Simple DXF to G-CODE (NC language) software can cost less than $100 but you really don't get much flexibility for post-processing to these specific controllers.
The fussier you are about results, the more you will need to shop around and possibly the more you will pay.

how do you install apps on android phones?
I bought an app from the android market on my samsung galaxy 5, i entered in my credit card details, and its all paid for. its not allowing me to actually install the app its just being stored in the market. when i try to install it, a title pops up saying download unsuccessful. i have installed apps before to my phone but they were all free. why wont it let me install the paid app
Most of the developers are happy to help you out. You can easily contact them through the App page. See if there is some incompatibility issues with your phone. If all else fails you can just ask for a refund.
Be courteous when you ask. Just tell him / her you bought the application, but it doesn't seem to be downloading onto the phone. Is there someway you can help. No need to give your Credit Card number, the name should be enough.
